Where do I leave from? 

Captain Cook Cruises WA departs from Perth or Fremantle for selected cruises. Our Perth ticket counter is located at Pier 3, Barrack Square, Perth. Our Fremantle ticket counter is located inside B Shed, Victoria Quay, Fremantle. For information on how to get to our Perth departure location, please see Getting Around at www.visitperth.com

We strongly recommend using public transport, rideshare and taxis wherever possible.    

Please note: Car parking at Barrack Square, Perth is limited to 2 hours. The nearest parking area is 500 metres to the east along Riverside Drive at the Terrace Road car park.

What are the seating arrangements?

Our tables accommodate six to eight people per table on most vessels. 

We do our best to seat couples on their own table but sometimes two couples may need to share a long table, with a couple at each end of the table. 

All catered cruises, such as the Fremantle Lunch Cruise, and Perth Swan River Dinner Cruise, will have assigned table seating. We do our best to seat large groups near each other.   

Seating is not assigned on the Swan Valley Gourmet Wine Cruise and other wine cruise tours. Seating on the wine cruises is on a first come, first seated basis. The same applies on our other cruises, including the Swan River cruises to/from Perth and Fremantle, and the Twilight Cruise.

Can I request a certain table? 

We gladly accept seating requestsand accommodate where possible. Please note that special table requests are subject to operating conditions, and cannot be guaranteed.  

What days are you open?  

Captain Cook Cruises WA are open every day of the year except Christmas Day (December 25th). Our timetable is subject to change at any time so please check our website for our latest operating cruises, days and times. 

Do your boats still operate in bad weather? 

Our vessels are among the largest cruising the Swan River, and are very stable.  Our skippers are professionally and expertly trained to only take vessels out when it is safe to do so and the ultimate decision rests with them. If they decide it is safe to run, then our standard Cancellation and Refund Policy applies. 

Should the weather be extreme, and we are unable to run safely, we will advise passengers with as much notice as possible, and offer to transfer to a different date or refund as applicable. To avoid any inconvenience to your plans, please ensure that you provide Captain Cook Cruises WA with your mobile contact at the time of booking, so that we can contact you at short notice.  

During winter, due to high tides and storm fronts, there may be occasions where the upstream vessels are unable to navigate under certain bridges. On these occasions we reserve the right to use alternative landing jetties to those stated in our literature and transport passengers by coach the short distance to their destination or cancel as necessary. 

Can I BYO or purchase alcohol onboard? 

Our vessels are fully licensed. No BYO (except water) is permitted.   

No alcohol can be removed from the vessels. The exception to this Law is when the alcohol has been purchased at 3rd party venues (e.g. Sandalford Estate or Mandoon) or is expressly sold on certain vessels under our "liquor store licence" which authorises the sale of packaged liquor for consumption off premises only. 

What ages are eligible for a Child's fare? 

To be eligible for a Child's fare, Children must be between the ages of 4-12 years of age. Under 4 years of age is FREE with the purchase of an Infant ticket.  

What constitutes a Family when purchasing a Family ticket? 2 Adults and 2 Children only are classed as a family ticket. The children must be between the ages of 4 and 12 years. 

What is classed as Concession? 

Concessional fares apply to: 

  • Australian and International Seniors Cards
  • Australian and International Concession Cards
  • Full time students (14-25 years)
  • YHA, VIP & Nomad card holders

Relevant ID must be provided at time of check-in. If valid ID is not able to be presented at the time of check-in the full fare will have to be paid.  

Do you offer group pricing?  

We offer group pricing on many of our cruises, with a minimum of 10 adult passengers travelling together. Group discounts do not apply on Special Cruises, such as Christmas Dinner Cruise. Please contact our friendly Reservations Team on (08) 9325 3341 for further information. 

When do I have to pay? 

Bookings need to be paid for in full at the time of booking.  We accept AMEX, VISA and MasterCard over the phone, website or in person. Note: we do NOT accept cash payments. 

For group bookings of 10 or more passengers, please read our Cancellation and Refund Policy for our extended payment options. 

What are your credit card surcharges? 

All credit card transactions will incur a surcharge of 1.25% (MasterCard, Visa & American Express included).

Can I smoke on your vessels? 

Captain Cook Cruises WA is proudly NON SMOKING for the health, comfort and wellbeing of our passengers, visitors and staff. 

Is there WiFi on the vessels? 

There is currently no WiFi on our Swan River vessels however City of Perth offer free WiFi at numerous points throughout the city, including Elizabeth Quay and Barrack Street Jetty.

Is there a dress code on your cruises? 

Our dress code is smart, casual. Covered footwear is preferred.  

How early do I have to Check In for my cruise? 

Check in at our ticket counter at least 30 minutes prior to the cruise departure time. If our ticket office is closed, then you can check in with the boat crew.  

Which vessel am I travelling on? 

Whilst our friendly staff can advise you what vessel is currently operating for your cruises, vessels may be changed without notice due to scheduling requirements or passenger numbers. Should you have a preference, please enquire at time of booking, but we do reserve the right to change vessels without prior notice regardless of circumstance. 

Can I take bikes and luggage on board? 

Our downstream vessels are able to take bikes and luggage on board. As our upstream vessels are smaller, a limited amount of luggage and bikes can be taken on board, so as to maintain passenger comfort. Please contact our friendly Reservations Team on (08) 9325 3341 for further information. 

Do you have bathrooms on your vessels? 

Yes, all of our vessels have bathrooms onboard, however they may not be accessible; with small and narrow entry and located downstairs. Please contact our friendly Reservations Team on (08) 9325 3341 for further information.
